help needed asap brakes help help help

i have just changed my front discs and pads on a 1999 transit i have tried to bleed with automatic bleeder which connects to tyre valve tthe brakes go hard while connected but when i take the valve of tyre and put the brake fluid cap back on my pedel just goes to floor

any help would be appreciated as i need my van for work in morning

keep pumping the pedal its normal as the piston in caliper hasnt come right out and pressing onto pads yet.

you have released air from bleed nipple on caliper when auto blleeder is connected havnt you

why did you have to drain fluid though or remove anything like caliper

the bleed nipples look as if they would break if i tried to remove so i disconected the pipe that connects to caliper so i could push back for new pads to go in

i also had to remove calipers as i fitted new discs

the bleeder i have is a bottle which connects to the tyre am i supposed to release the nipples while i do this

yes, just get a tight socket onto bleed nipples and give it a squirt of penetrating fluid, and go easy with it undo it till all air is out, but make sure theres plenty of fluid in first then youll have to top back up with fresh fluid.

i sprayed gas gas on them earlier so hopefully be loose for tomorow do i just keep the bleeder connected to tyre

yes the self bleedr just applies air pressure to force the fluid down, same as if you had someone to pump the pedal for you,.

will i have to bleed the rear as well or will i just need to do the front i never touched anything on rear

no should be fine just the lines that you have had apart.

Cant quite understand why you had to remove a pipe to fit brake pads or remove caliper. Caliper comes off far enough to do disks without removing pipes, and the cylinder piston pushes back with a pair of screwdrivers used as levers, or a small G clamp without disconnecting anything, just pushes fluid back up to reservoir no trouble. You seem to have caused your self a lot of hassle un necessarily.
