clutch pedal

Postby mightyeel » Wed Mar 17, 2010 7:54 am

Hi Guys
I,m in Oz
I have a 2001 VH 2.3 ltr transit.
I,m having trouble putting it into gear when its cold(weather or engine)
when it warms up its better.
I seem to have a lot of travel in the clutch pedal before it engages the cylinder.

The pedal itself is a lot closer to the floor than the brake pedal, with at least an inch or so of up and down travel without doing anything
HELP!

check the brake fluid and see if its low. if it is top it up and bleed the clutch. once bled see if theirs any signs of fluid leaking(slave cylinder and master cylinder).
the concentrics slave cylinders leak on them. if its the case box out and new clutch and slave needed.
