engine swap

Postby yogurt » Wed Mar 17, 2010 6:36 pm

hi all, just done an engine swap on a 2000, 2.4 90ps 2.4 duratourque engine. put in a 120ps motor with the ecu and key chip. engine starts, but only runs for about 5 secs, glow plug light starts flashing, engine cuts out. will start up straight away and does the same again!! fault codes come up as p0230 and p0231. any ideas?

P0230 says fuel pump relay circuit malfunction/poss faul is fuel pump relay,ECM
P0231 says fuel pump circuit low/wiring short to earth.
I advise you check all the wiring loom etc.
