You can buy some stuff that looks like clear runny glue from large places like Halfords and some spares shops, to stop leaky windows. I will work for a while but I think it may have to come out sooner or later. What's it caused by? If you follow the water upwards, look for the highest point and that will show you where the leak is. You can also try sealing between the rubber and the glass with good old exterior silicone sealant, which you can get for house windows in black.
You were told right. If you re-fit the screen it will be a bit of a b*tch, try to re use the old rubber, as new rubbers and old glass don't get on. We wasted two 2nd hand screens doing this, and eventually ended up using the old rubber.

Are you sure its leaking through the seal! Ive known even the mintest transits MK1/2's rot under the window seal by the drain channel!
I'd double check its not rot, have a good look undernieth the dash while someone hose's the window!!! And if its rotton get screen out and repair it! your only putting off the inevitable!! :(
As for putting screens back in - some tips i do:- warm the seal up to get it soft (put it in the oven - low heat of course!) and put plenty of neat washing up liquid on!! :)

Don't worry about it. The one we lost in the accident (see 'not for the faint hearted' in Gallery) had that for years, it didn't get any worse after a while, and always went throught the MOT. Brand new screens are still available though and worth it with yours!
