pinto DGAV update

Postby jonm » Tue Jun 14, 2005 10:53 pm

Jetted the DGAV as suggested - Doing very well, about 20mg on average a vast improvement on the motorcraft (which to be fair to it, when I've taken it apart, was knackered)- you can see the weight I cart around on the back of my transit.

I did have to up the idle jet to a 60 to get it to 1.3% CO. The idle mixture screw is lead plugged, and I have a superstitous horror of messing with them since I blew up my 2CV that way when I was a student.

However, does someone who knows there onions think I'd be better off dropping the idle jet and fiddling with the screw? or is it a six and two threes?

its very unusual to find a plug still in the carb blocking the mixture screw  take it out and adjust it but 1.3 c/o is plenty good enouph if the vans running well leave it alone! :D
