Fitted Drop down DVD to my Tranny but no audio??

The unit has white and red audio output jacks. I cant see any internal speakers. I plugged some speakers into the jacks but could only hear really faint sound... Am I missing something obvious??

it has to be conected to a stereo i had a sunvisor one and thats what i had to do

I tried plugging the red and white connectors from the drop down unit to the transit stereo red and white jacks expecting some sound from the transit speakers... but nothing.

has the stereo got an aux input make sure its not an output

some are outputs they can be red and white

I'd prefer not to use the Transit speakers for this DVD player... its fitted for the kids in the back to watch.
It's looking more like I need an amp..

Probably cheaper and easier to get another stereo with inputs and fit it in the back with another couple of speakers

... Got some speakers... now just need an amplifier.. Anyone got one??

Can collect if near to Huddersfield... or East coast (hols on fri - Wed)

yes you probly need a amp to go through it.

thanks all... got an amp.. Music/DVD all good. Need a digi aerial now for the freeview tv.

What is the ACC red wire for?? Is it to power switch the amp?
