Running lumpy

Postby inkys autos » Sat Apr 24, 2010 1:06 pm

Please help, My van lost power this morning when slowing down from 50mph, Then it would'nt go any faster than 20-25mph when i pulled away again. I've got a smiley face 2000 plate 2.5 diesel. I've taken off the flow pipe from the lift pump down right hand side of engine and that's pumping o.k, i did the same with the pipe's on the deisel filter housing and again they were pumping, then changed the filter and it's still the same. I'm just wondering if there is enough diesel getting pumped up there? Has anyone got any more idea's please.
