tipper ram oil

Hi there i have an 04 plate three way transit tipper it needs oil in the ram reservoir but i have no idea how much and what oil to use. On the dip stick there is only one notch on it and the oil is slightly lower than this. It seems a big reservoir so im guessing it needs some as lately the bed struggles to lift up fully.
