Anyone know about driveshafts?

The CV type, would there be a max length you could use without a support bearing?

I would have thought so... If you think about it the longer it is the more likely it is to go all wobbly!
Having said that making the driveshaft thicker would mean it wouldnt need to be supported as quickly

LOL!-not 'planning' anything mate, apart from getting a Transit when I get back to the UK!
I thought about thicker shafts but will it eliviate the problem? No measurements yet bit if someone 'in the know' said 36'' no problem, I would be happy!
