transit 190 deisel v reg how do i set the tappets dont understand the manual

rule of nine have the one nearest to u fully open ie full cam lift and adjust the back one ie no 1 and adjust 8 =9 2 on full lift and adjust 7 =9 may hope this may make easyer to understand
