cable clutch to hydraulic clutch

hi guys I've got a b--ford cf sorry for that but on the plus side it has a transit 2.5di engine & mt75 gearbox fitted with the cf pedal box, so not all bad, but I've problem with the clutch, it's very heavy to operate having looked at the clutch cable run I'm pretty sure that this is the problem as it has more twists & turns than silverstone, my question is this is it possible to fit the hydraulic clutch from a later model or from a something else in the ford range that has the same engine & gearbox I've looked at the ford slave cylinder fitted to this engine & gearbox it looks like a straight forward bolt on job after removing the exsting release bearing & clutch fork but not sure about the input shaft length, has anyone ever done this?

cable is on the drivers side of the box so just reroute it to the bedford pedal..have u asked the same Q over on the bedofrd cf forum??as its been done quite a few times on there...failing that its quite easy to graft the ford pedal onto the cf pedal box.
