Spare key for transit

Can I get a duplicate ignition key (not bothered about remote) for my transit for less than the rip-off £140 ford want to charge me to program one? pretty please?

ah now you say £44 ive been and got a couple of quotes they have all been £70 because apparently i need a red master key, but ive been told on here that i dont need a master as it didnt come with one and can just clone off other keys? how does this work ??

whats the color of the chip in the end of the key?? whatever color it can be cloned no problem..you are trying at a auto locksmith/key cutter and not a household key cutters/shoe sole place.

tried timpsons, and ive tried a couple of local lock smiths the chip at the end is red, but ive read up that you can clone them yourself by turning to 2 a couple of times and clone the program

Errr ....... no you can't, unless you have 2 keys to start with. It needs to be cloned by an auto locksmith
