oil leak

oil leak

-Hi i have a oil leak coming out the backof the alternator(theres a pump thingy at the back of it,dont know what its called??)
I have been told the o ring has gone and was wondering if anyone knows how to change this???
Pease help as we are susposed to be going away in it tomorrow

It could be the O ring, but as in my case, was the alternator's rear oil seal :evil:

My advice is to change both while the unit is off :idea:

If it's only the odd drip, then leave it 'til later :!:

it may be the rear oil seal i have brought (not to sure of the names of these things yet)
its a pinky colour and round?????? :shock:
i will have a go at fitting it ,just need to stem the flow at the moment

just to let you all know i fixed it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was a small job but everyone has to start somewhere.

right who wants their engine changed
