oil leak

-Hi i have a oil leak coming out the backof the alternator(theres a pump thingy at the back of it,dont know what its called??)
I have been told the o ring has gone and was wondering if anyone knows how to change this???
Pease help as we are susposed to be going away in it tomorrow

It could be the O ring, but as in my case, was the alternator's rear oil seal

My advice is to change both while the unit is off

If it's only the odd drip, then leave it 'til later

it may be the rear oil seal i have brought (not to sure of the names of these things yet)
its a pinky colour and round??????
i will have a go at fitting it ,just need to stem the flow at the moment

just to let you all know i fixed it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was a small job but everyone has to start somewhere.

right who wants their engine changed
