a week and a half ago , one morning I went out to start my van (2008 T350 LWB transit) it started then died , never done that before I thought . Tried starting it again and away it went , no more problems the rest of the day , next morning the same , it started and died but after that when I tried starting the van it started making clicking noises then seeming like it was turning over then clicking noises then eventually started . Then Monday last week , i went out to start the van and nothing , no clicking noises , just nothing . Under warranty I phoned up ford recovery and along came the local mechanic who has the cover for AA in my area , he tested the battery , its not the battery he says , its your starter motor , he tried hitting it a few times while shouting to me to turn the key , still no joy . It got taken away the following morning to the ford commercial garage in aberdeen about 35 miles from me . I phoned to find out what the problem was and I was told it was electrical , while it was there I asked for the 45,000 service to be done , I got the phone call yesterday that the van was done and dusted , i picked it up today . i was told that the starter relay had been affected by something , this was the problem and that it had been cleaned up . I
went out to start the van tonight after leaving it for a few hours and guess what , the clickings back , totally annoying and putting me close to the edge of losing the plot . Has anyone got some ideas apart from going through the warranty procedure again , i know thats what its for , but i start 5am monday and
wont get another motor till probably later on that day .
