Handbrake switch

Hello,

I have an 04 plate. 2.4 tipper.

The handbrake light doesnt seem to come on when the handbrake is up? GHowever when you turn the ignition on it lights up and goes off?

Also do these have cam belts or chains?

They have timing chains, and they don't have a handbrake warning light, only a low fluid warning light, which is tested every time you turn the key to start
