looesing power

i have a 51 2.0 dura di transit swb just out the blue it is starting to loos power more so going up hill and the van is more or less always empty only thing i have done recently is a service filters and oil i was looking for the egr valve its not on the front of the engine its at the back dont know whyi loosened one bolt on what i thought was the egr and could not get it back in right do you think this could be my problem ????
