Duratorque power loss

Postby Roger2 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 7:32 pm

Hi
I am new here.
We have a LDV with a 2.4 duratorq engine. Runs fine appart from occasionally on tickover or overrrun down hill the engine reverts to ticking over, it does not cut out, but no response to the accelerator pedal. We can get over this by switching ignition of and on again, however as pointed out by some of our drivers, if you are trying to get out of dificulties or overtaking it doesnt help to suddenly lose power.
Oh the heater plug warning light flashes when this occurs.
Thanks in advance
Roger
