2.5 - 2.5 turbo engine swap, what needs changed ??

hi guys !

i have a transit tipper mk5 its a 97 on a p, currently it has a 2.5 di non turbo, im hoping to change the engine to a 2.5 turbo diesel , so far i've been told

that i need to change the ignition barrel, and the throttle as the turbo one is electonic??

does anyone have any ideas or information on what else might need changed??

Get the turbo engine, put your injection pump on it. Fit to van. Fiddle with fueling and injection pump timing to get best results.

Simple.

However you can get more power/less smoke if you fit a bosch 145 or 146 pump and you can fit an intercooler too!

definetley would make a massive difference to the performance and feel of the pickup.
