TRANSIT AXLE t53 and t55

Can someone put some light on this for me im in the process of buying a mk7 transit twin wheel axle
the axle is a twin wheeled ratio 4.27 t53 im sure i have read some thing to do with a power pack ratio .
What is the difference between t53 and t55 both are the same ratio \
