speeding ticket one day ,vosa prohibition notice the next,

unlukily i recived a speeding fine on wednesday ,my fault but then again in my defence the road had always been a 40mph road untill a was cought at 42mph it turned out it was recently changed to a 30mph limit /they wouldnt let me take the course and it was my first ticket eva gutted,

the day after i traveld into the same neck of the woods and low and behold only fookin vosa and the police were there ,shure enough pulled me in i got a dip which was fine and athurough going over with there little hammers ,unluckily enough i had 3 nuts loose on some u bolts holding down the rear springs ,the u bolts were made temporary out of thredad bar i was supposed to get some propper ones but like you do i let it go so was slapped with a prohibition notice to get them tightend up then get van re mot`d talk bout unlucky

any idea how much proper u bolts r and wheres best my springs have 5 leafs

All of that to ask about U bolts and don't even give the important information.

You should be able to get them from a motorfactors but you might need to take one with you to match them up if it's off something old.

2000 registerd t350 tipper with 5 leafs ,springs were aftermarket so i think th u bolts will be longer than the standard ones, just wanted an idea of what to expect price wise?

Why don't you just pop a few cable ties around them

ive found a place near me owen springs rotherham /going to give em a ring tmoz /im shure vosa would luv me nxt time they pull me with tie wraps round em,

i had a 190 that had tie wraps round them ,suprisingly they never went out of line gud old mk 5s

ive only just seen that msg ive bought some from owen springs cost me £50 all in at least it will go through the test and they should stay tight now

only thing is make sure you keep totally legal now as the reg number will be on vosa anpr system and will flag up next time and they may want to take a look..

they said the prohibition notice will be removed on recipet of the mot and prohibition notice at the police station /

if this is not the case how do you know if any van you buy is not already on this anpr system??

Yes it will be legal once you provide the MOT cert, but your card is now marked as they say.

Next time you're stopped grab hold of the copper and threaten to kill him... your card will be 'unmarked'
