Guys on the forum have been saying my L reg van is a Mk4 not 3, but are there numbers etc that will say for sure what mk it is? Its a 2litre auto and RAC mechanics have said its fuel injection. :? I will have to post some pics, 'once i get it back'. More chance of gettin kids back from social services than gettin your van back from Bristol St motors :(

Bristol Street motors have finally sorted the cutting out 'without the need for parts' so they've just adjusted something. They are still waiting a hand brake lever/assembly which could take weeks, so a breakers yard is my best option. If anyone has a hand brake assembly that'll fit let me know. In regard to Bristol St mechanics the term choc tea pot comes to mind  ...if i was that bad at my job i'd be down the dole office

Had my van back from Bristol St motors last week and it failed to start twice :x Called RAC who adjusted the idle speed which has sorted the cutting out and it not starting :) My mk4 is an auto, so moving the gear lever or steering brought the idle speed down too low causing it to cut out or not to start. Havin a trani teaches you loads ...like not taking it to a so called ford dealer
