Laden brake valve

When fitting a new laden brake valve is there any special position this has to be fitted in?

I have a Y reg 350 LWB

The length of the rod is the critical factor,seem to think there is a sticker somewhere with info on it
(in the cab ?/step or behind seat,never needed it but sure i`ve seen one ????)

I`ve set them before but we had a plastic clip that fitted on top end of rod,pre-loading it,then you just adjusted the moving slider to take play out of rod.

Really rod would need setting with vehicle unloaded/empty.

If youre just changing the valve,mark the rod position first.
