LTZ Sensible ideas on how to save vans and trucks.

Speaking to the tfl emmisions section ( which happens to be in the midlands?) i enquired about my mk 3 transit emmisions i was fobed of with meet the 2002 emmision spec scrap the vehicle spend a few thousand pounds on various emmision equipment that cannot be guarnteed to work , better still if youre vehicle is then not registered with TFL then theirs a £1000.00 fine if you use youre vehicle without their requirements and you use it on the road then that will cost you £100.00 a day fine better still that might allso apply if the vehicle is parked out side youre abode !. and not on private property It would seem that a possible solution is to change to petrol run on gas (which i think youre find isnt applicable to diesel ) or biofuel but as youre still burning oil i would be concerned as possibilities of failing the VOSA smoke test AT £35.00 , so maybe some one has a solution which engine would fit and pull a 35 cwt mk 3 transit around and be resonable on fuel. and meets the emmision. This really needs to be attended to as soon as possible if you live in the London youre gonna get shafted !!! so lets get our heads together now before its to late !! I now small businesses will have serious financial broblems, a drastic solution could be that all vehicle that will not meet the emmisions could be driven in to places such as areas of hight security say a couple of hundred vehicles then fire them up then ring TFL and tell they can keep them , just one way to protest. Well all the best cheers ,H.

it is to late. They put the date back last year for a extra year....Best way is register the van as petrol but dont forget to fit the petrol engine..Then lpg the engine and there you go better mpg per litre of fuel than a Di plus good excuse for V8 or V6 cosworth power...
