ford transit water pump

Hi everyone
i took of my old water pump on my 2001 2.0 ltr diesel fwd transit and i managed to break the extra bit that bolts into the pump in witch a hose attaches to it and is bolted down with a 8 mm bolt on the inside of it it has a gold pin with a spring on it please could anybody let me know what this bit is called and what its purpose is so i can order one ..

Got any pics? Im unsure on which part you mean. But im not sure if you can buy anything off the pump seperate.

i'm sure i still got my old pump from when i changed mine, but i wont be in work till monday if that is any good to you m8. if the part you want is there you can have it for postage.
