Diesel engine in Transit possible???

Postby cheva_1974 » Tue Jul 26, 2005 8:24 pm

Hey! :)

Does anyone know if it´s possible to put a Volvo D24 (the diesel-engine in 240&740) engine in a Transit 1100 from 1969?? Is there enough space?? Etc...
Or can someone give me a recommendation of a suitable diesel engine for my Transit??

Thanks

Welcome cheva! I don't know if the volvo engine will fit, but the conversion using a transit Di is reletavely easy and much more common. As it was an official option the parts are readily available too. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
