I have restored several Leyland O.600/680 engines, both horizontal and vertical ones. Changed CAV DPA rotary pumps for CAV or Bosch in line ones. Results: more even running, about 15 more horses. But, my experiments learned me not to fiddle with manufacturers' pump adjustments as more fuel pumped into injectors will only cause more fuel consumption and perhaps smoke, not significantly more torque. I even blew up an engine after fiddling with pump adjustments resulting the engine could make too much revs but no more power. My advice would be: carefully have the system checked and bring it back to its original specs. If you want more power, install another, more powerful engine.
Be seeing you !
