exaust return

Postby dave the brave » Mon Aug 15, 2005 6:27 pm

Hi all
my engine 2.5 DI has a return feed from the exhaust to the air manifold.(banana) type air intake.
is this used to enhance performance or to reduce emissions ?
& if it was removed could a turbo be fitted to this engine ? :?:

dave she could be 70ps or 76ps or if you are lucky in a long wheelbase around 1993-94 80ps , no 90ps as turbos, were 85ps and 100ps and rare as old boots 115ps! :D

blank off the vac pipes to the exhuast gas recirculating valve, its only filling your manifold and inlet ports full of soot
