Re-Spray Question

OK,
Is it possible to spray over dark true blue (sp?) with a metalic blue? like performance blue or similar? or would I need to use lighter primer over the full van?

Never changed the colour of a vehicle before, so thought I had best ask before I throw money away.

Blue on blue would be no problem at all. If your using a primer, you can spray any colour you want to be honest.

you'l be fine mate. if you were spraying over yellow,orange,red ect youd want to lay a white base ect but fine for what youre wanting to do!

iirc Tahiti blue need to be put over red to get the colour right , check with the paint shop
the night fire red had to go over i think it was yellow or blue to get it right or it came out pink

I did a nice job on TR7/8 using Dodge Viper pearlescent blue, works fine over grey primer and looks similar to the to the Rover blue.

im prepping a golf this week to paint after a brake fluid attack , its a mid to dark blue a bit like Tahiti blue and it has a black coat over the primer then the blue colour and clear coat , guy almost scrapped the car when i told him it needs primer black ,blue then clear coat

thought i was extracting the fluids till i showed him
