Thanks guys, really appreciate your response.

I've just try holding in button 6 for 20 seconds, but the display is still showing 'locked 13'. It won't let me enter the code. But strangely, I pressed buttons 6 & 5 at the same time and DPS or DSP was displayed and the radio came on... a few seconds later, the display went back to 'locked 13' and no radio. Any more advice will be great. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure that "locked 13" means the the radio is effectively scrap, unless you know someone with the software to unlock it :(

ake wrote:If you need the radio code for your MK 5 or MK6 Transit simply post the serial number of the Stereo on this thread and someone will reply with your code
We can only do codes here for serial numbers beginning with an "M"

To find your serial number you need to remove the stereo, The serial number starts with M and you will find on the side of your stereo.

Or follow these instructions

To obtain your radio code you will need the serial number of the radio, usually shown on the label on the right side of the radio.

eg. M123456

The radio will need to be at least partially removed to see this using the correct removal keys.

A request on the forum showing your serial number will usually produce the code fairly quickly.

Or the software can be downloaded from HERE

When running the software the following appears :

Image

Enter your serial number then click on the large No. 5 Preset button on the bottom to generate the code.

To exit the software click on the large on/off button on the left

Where could I get hold of this software would be handy to have ???

To enter the code on the radio use the large preset buttons on the bottom of the radio (1-6) RDS 4000, 5000, 6000 etc.

eg. Code = 2487

press button 1 to cycle through the numbers until 2 is displayed.
press button 2 to cycle through the numbers until 4 is displayed.
press button 3 to cycle through the numbers until 8 is displayed.
press button 4 to cycle through the numbers until 7 is displayed.

press button 5 to enter the code.

If 3 incorrect attempts are made there will be a 30 minute delay before you can try again, the key has to be in the ignition position 1 during this time, removing it will reset the timer.

After 10 wrong attempts the display will show LOCK 10

Holding button 6 while turning the radio on will give you a further 3 attempts.

If these three are entered incorrectly the display will then show LOCK 13 and you will now need to get it reprogrammed

If you have a MK7 (serial number starts with V) you need to contact your Ford dealer for the code

Or you could ask Taz nicely
