also you'd want premix oil rather than injector

i have tried this and it seems to work had it tested and got a reading of 1.85 on a quick pass test have done 2000 miles with 2 stroke in the tank mpg has gone up by about 3 mpg there is far far less visable soot when the engine is redlined and the quick pass test gave a reading of 1.13 so thumbs up all the way

New cooking oil does the same in my wedge, i usually mix in 25% new oil, quicker, quieter (especialy on cold start) better MPG :D

if it cuts down the carbon output it has to be good, stops the turbo, cat and full exhaust system getting carbon-ed up, INCLUDING EGR and INTAKE manifold :!: :D

I have been testing it for over 2000 Km now and confirm smooth running engine, using 0,5 l/100Km less diesel and the diesel pump is better lubrificated.

done about 3 tanks now with cheapy carplan 2stroke oil in the mix, definately smoother and quiter and more pokey and havent had any of that rough running / air in fuel (sticking injectors?) since, despite it beeing a weekly problem before.

1st tankful (68l) + 300ml 2 stroke in '96 100S Low roof, half load, some Mway, mostly A/B roads with b4stard steep Devon hills all @ 60mph max : 35 mpg... 8) Will report on subsequent tankfuls, both with and without 2 stroke.

This looks very interesting and I think I will give it a go.
Is anyone out there using 2 stroke oil and acetone?

I am trying the acetone experiment at the moment, but it will be mid summer before I can post any meaningful accurate MPG results owing to the infrequent use of the vehicle.

I run an old Bedford TK on 2 stroke oil mixed with the fuel and more recently a modern Scania and have been putting oil in the diesel for years and touch wood I have never had any problems with engines or the fuel pumps. It's tried and tested go for it but do remember only in small amounts when filling up the tank

The quote.
I would use any of the two 2-T oils, whichever I would get cheaper.
You can also use the Mobil Extra 2T.
Important is, that those 2T-oils should comply with JASCO "FC" or ISO L-E "GC" or "GD", which should be written on the bottle. All 2T-oils as per these norms burn with an ash content of less than 0,05%.

What ratios are you using? And how long have you been using them together?

Thanks,

300ml of 2 stroke, 30ml acetone, per 60 litres of diesel fuel

I've been using it for a couple of months, but not continuously
