The cable I have has pins at # 2,4,5,6,7,10,14,15,16 the socket on the van has connectors for pins at # 2,4,5,7,10,13,16 so as you can see they don't match up.
Fitzy the socket is in the fuse box under the dash and has a plastic cover on which you need to just pull out.
Hopefully someone at http://www.obdtools.co.uk/ is going to check one of their units out on Monday and let me know if it works at £61-75 its got to be worth it.
