Had trouble starting when i bought her. Had to push start her to get her home,but ran fine for the 46 miles home even started again after swich off that day. since then will not cold start. will take the plugs out today and give it a go

Still not starting saw another post about a 2l 89 tranny regarding the van not starting.
So I will try looking for the orange and purple wire to see if I can get her running
hope it works
Will start conversion to camper as soon as she runs and is MOTed

will post some pics soon

Its still winding over OK then? I dont know anything about the efi V6, it must have some sort of cold start...

Hi all had van checked out and need a new ECU, if any one knows of some one who can point me in the right direction or possable has one i could buy please let me know

As for non starting, the ECU's were a pain in the ass on those early 2.9 efi engines, again one from a granada will fit, and give you a small power increase as they were mapped slightly different.

Hi all....... bad news again fittet new ecu and it works. I was told this evening that i need a new distributor for my ambo :(
Just can not believe it on top off that have also found some burnt wires
Feels like it is becoming a rebuild rather than a fix me up job

If there is anyone out there that can sell me a dizzy for the ambo please let me know

Hi there i finally got my ambulance to run,but now i need to find someone who will insure it so that i can get the taxation class changed and get it taxed any one out there that has any advice ?
