Newer vans do have rh thread but these are usualy on spigot rims, these are bits of metal cast on the wheelhubs just below the wheel studs they slot through the big hole in centre of the wheel rim and help carry the weight of the vehicle rather than relying on just the wheel studs. Ask anybody who ran old wagons about wheel loss big problem a few years back :cry:

Now I get it and it would seem that doing away with left-handed studs without addressing all the issues is inviting troubles.

Only a couple of weeks ago I witnessed an accident caused by a vehicle losing a wheel which then hit the side of a small car travelling on the opposite direction (three cars behind me - unpaved road) and it was just as well that nobody was travelling too fast at the time.

If people don't care about their own safety they still have no right to take chances with the safety of others, particularly when they at least suspect they may be doing something wrong.

Were it not for the fact I hate pain myself I would support the idea of wiring up everybody's brain to an electric shocking collar, but then stupidity could still be made painful on everybody except me, right?
