if its BT they do test the limiters when the vans are serviced plus they can see from the trackers if you are going faster that the speed limiter....
But would cost a hours labour from ford to get removed...

hi thanks for reply its not bt or the gas and i wont get sacked when they find out it might be easier to get another job though ! lol

Insurance might be another matter mind. The company policy may have the limiter as one of the stipulations.

One thing you really don't want to bugger about with is insurance, specially if they don't pay out when you have an accident and someone gets hurt or worse.

And they will check it's still operational.

I've got a 09 plate renault trafic with a limiter . Bloody nuisance just seems to hit a wall at 70ish so dodgy for overtaking.

The government are trying to make it law for all vans to have a 70mph limiter fitted.

Our bus is limited to 100kph (62mph) and yes its frstrating sometimes on the motorway when you get stuck with the traffic, but its limited for safety reasons.

tell me about it, i was doing 75 on my speedo, (70 satnav speed) in my car down the M6 few weeks ago, and a 17 seater with trailer on passed me. must have been doing 85-90 on his speedo, wasnt surprised to see he got pulled by traffic cops a few miles down the road.

you see all these adverts about minibuses which have crashed, and the people who drive them drive them like cars, which they are not, you have 16 other peoples lives in your hands when driving them, we are glad ours is limited to 62mph
