Acetone is from either Savers or the pound shop (depending on the need for fag papers)
150ml for £1 at either (does 2 tankfulls and a bit left over )
Claims to be 100% pure on the bottle,
The cap of the bottle holds 10ml so there is a bit of guess work when filling up.
Roughly 1ml of acetone to 1 litre of fuel.
Dont mind experimenting with fuel enchancing.
Spent 2 years trying to make a decent HHO cell.
3 explosions later the wife banned me from continuing.
I was aiming for 2L/min of hydrogen with a 5 amp draw.
Hydrogen is such an unforgiving gas
So acetone is safe and hasn't rotted pump seals as yet.
No fuel lines have dropped off.
Van starts as it should.
I'll run this next tank in driving miss daisy mode and see if 30+ mpg average
is possible.
Then do a couple of tanks without acetone to get a better idea of weather it is actually helping fuel economy.
Will keep you posted.
