How to fit a 2nd row of seats?

I can't believe that all you seem to be bothered about is the MOT! How about the lives of whoever is in the back, and you as well.
10 stone of child travelling at 60mph into the back of your head will hurt.
Sod the MOT, sod the cost, get belts fitted.
If you're gonna do the job, do it right.

I think its stupid to fit an extra seat and not fit belts, skinting on the belts never even came to mind when i started my install

All the belts that im using a brand new retractable units
I have braced the body around the belt mountings with 2mm steel plate and then again with 6mm plate which the belts bolt through

Every where that theres a bolt (seat/belts) theres a peice of 6mm plate to reinforce it, im not going to have my kids going through the front screen over a few extra bucks

That sounds like a proper job Sundowner.
People don't seem to realise that in a crash it's the belt that takes all the forces. It doesn't matter if you've only put your seats in with glue! As long as the belts are fixed securely your passengers won't be going anywhere.
Of course there is an issue pursuading some people to actually ware them......

I am glad somebody posted this question, I am about to fit a 3 seat bench into my '94 swb but it has no integral belts. does anyone know where I can get some?

Yeah, but I think that sundowner wants the seat to look in keeping with the van, and a later one wouldn't do that.

I could of gone a seat off ebay that had belts and was grey for $80 and would of saved me a heap of work, the seat that i have was $100 was still easy to fit just the belts took some extra work

BUT like fred said i wanted it to look like the fronts and i doubt that the ebay seat would of been as comfy as this one, it reclines and holds you like a bucket would

Wind the top back fold down the arm rest put your feet up on the front seat base and your fly'n 1st class mate
