had to look that one up

Inferred/Open Loop Soot: This is a theoretical model-based calculation. The computer estimates how much soot is in the DPF based on factors like mileage, fuel consumption, and driving style.

so not a real reading me thinks

may go back after a reset .

You'll have to look at a couple of O'Rileys videos for that answer , he does go into; when and why a DPF reset should be done or if it should be done.. he's best for advice on this.

From memory 'cause would take me ages to find a specific video, think he does say only reset if its a new one or 100 percent chemically cleaned out serviced one .. and says a bit about rogues resetting them to disguise trouble. and explains what can go wrong with a reset if it's done at the wrong time.

Driven it for ages now straight through mot, regenning lovely so we will say that’s a fix, took 3 things, exhaust temp sensor 3, thermostat change and the fuel vapouriser taken out unblocked and put back. So big thanks to Frag and metalworker.

The more systems in place the more complicated it gets, the environmentalists have ruined the simple reliability of the diesel engine, Rudolf is turning in his grave. people are sending the vans to the scrappers with these problems, especially the ones who don't know how to fix them , now you know but most don't and i bet that is more environmentally damaging (to scrap) than no systems at all.

Glad you got it sorted.
