don't suppose ,,, if i asked very nicely you could get the code for M101576 would be very grateful with loads of thanks in advance ,,,,
Ken
Here is a prime example.

Only joined this month, prob just to get the code for the stereo. I don't know if it is or not, but only been on here for a couple of days and asking about the code for a stereo already......

It should only be long time user's(after say a year registered) that get there codes pm'd to them by other members, not new users.........

Sorry to go on about this but I do have a point..

That is quite right but the code calculators are found on the internet quite easily, I have a copy myself and I paid 2.99 for my mk7 visteon code.
and don't forget, most ppl asking for the codes may not be aware that the stereo could be nicked. the same person asking for codes repeatedly may be a bit suspect of course.

Another thing is if you get your stereo stolen wouldn't you get money back from your insurance? in that case it now belongs to the insurance company, if they haven't found the need to make a database or something to allow ppl to see what radios are stolen then what do we do?

Sorry for butting in but you seem very troubled by this.

Some people don't know that the code software is on the net, I only found out I could get 1 after I joined Talkford. Before that I had to go to ford to get the code((only needed 2 so far)1 for a car years ago and the code for my current car as I had to reset my ecu).
If you have read my other post on here then you will see why i'm troubles over this.

I agree with you, radio theves should be beaten to death by the very radio they have stolen, but I was only saying that if I can get the code calculator that easy then I'm sure the theves out there can probably get even better software than I have! more to the point they probably nicked the high end flashing cables to go with it!!

Let's be real. How smart are theives to steal a ford radio and sign up to a forum to get codes.... Not very likely. Well that's my though anyways.
