groaning

Postby dudester » Tue Apr 10, 2012 8:22 pm

Hi! I have a transit van t35 115 2010 and when i am moving slowly, especially in reverse, I get a groaning noise....hardto fix it, but it sounds like it is coming from the back wheel area. Any ideas?

This is very common there is no cure, its the hand brake comming on very slightly as the axle moves in reverse.

The groaning noise emanating from rearward while reversing is oftentimes caused by a wayward pedestrian becoming entangled on the
back axle. A quick drive forward then hard reverse (a couple of times should suffice) will bring the groaning to an end.A good preventative
against any future groaning is to always check your mirrors before any backward manouvre.
