LPG conversion?

Hi all, first can't wait for Sunday, even if van looking a bit tired at the mo!!
Anyway down to buisness. Has anyone looked into lpg conversions on transits? If so what sort of cost etc did you come up with?

pipp i had my car done a wile ago ,you have got to do alot of miles to get the cost of the conversion back! it would cost about £800 - £1000 thats alot of miles worth of petrol, plus he wont leave it alone forever its starting to creep up in price ! so unless you intend on dooing around 15-20000miles a year its not realy worth it ,oh and the otherthing that drove me crackers is you try standing on a forcourt in the wind and rain with you hand on a button for half an hour!

hi their is a firm my mate used he baught a gas kit DIY took 1 day to fit a ring over the carb type the kit cost £330 with a 70lt tank ill sort the email adress and post it on here he fitted it to a 5lt stright six yank and ide say it went better on gas at £39.9 thats a big saveing

hi pip and chris what carb are you running on the v6 is it a single choke transit carb or twin choke weber??? i think some places charge around £700-800 for a carb conversion you need as bigger tank as you can get around 120ltr ! oh and your exhaust i am shure i can locate the o/s front pipe and rear box for you if you get stuck,but not the n/s front pipe yet am looking into haveing some made !
