 Hi, Im in the middle of fitting an 86 DI &type 9 gearbox into my mk1 twin wheel pick up, Originaly had a yorkie in it I have used a pair of engine mount brackets welded to the chassis, I have moved the engine back about an inch to give more clearance for the fan etc Iam using the yorkie rad its a bit bigger than the DI one, only cos I had one, the type 9 gearbox lines up with the original gear lever hole and the yorkie gearbox cross member will fit, if you use later box you need to cut another hole for the gear lever, the later engine has different engine mountings as well But it is a pretty straight forward swop plenty have been done If yours is a petrol you will need a deisel front & bonnet. 8)
I want to live forever so far so good
