Hill start assist stopped working?

Postby samsmith » Sat Jan 10, 2015 2:05 pm

Hi I have mk7 57 plate fwd transit and the hill start assist stopped working a couple of months ago, not a major problem... but just wondered if any one could hep me with the cause? Would it be a case of just a blown fuse? have looked in owners manual and cant find reference to a fuse related to HSA though.
Any help would be appreciated Cheers

I updated my speedo and it has the light on which comes on with the ignition, would this procedure activate mine or do i need to configure it in my software too? Not started on any big hills since tho, do they have to be steep or what? :-)

No, that's ignition on, hold brake and throttle down till service light flashes, then ignition off.

My present van doesn't seem to work :(
I don't have cruise control working because the buttons aren't present so there's adtc for cruise switch, it is activated though.

Hill launch is turned on via ids and says it is on, no hill launch lamp comes on at all though its green the same as cruise and gear change lamps which do come on then off at ignition.

Digging up an old thread here lootboy? I thought you'd got it working? Or is it time to change another ABS pump? I thought you had a custom wheel on asbo? As was going to as about comparability and how many wires it had for the phone buttons.... ? But that's for a different thread

I have the custom wheel and it has the 2 sets of buttons but no cruise buttons. You can rig up aftermarket radio buttons to 1 set as it has a learn function.
Cruise buttons you'll need a resistance emulator unless by any chance the newer cruise buttons still have the same resistance ladder?
I have the 56 plate pcm and on my last van I had the 07 pcm, it may or may not have been updated and may or may not be relevant. I may have a faulty brake or clutch switch /es.
The updated abs pump and longitudinal sensor are fitted and calibrated and working. :(

Sounds like it's toying with you being anti-social with its behaviour, it just needs orders!!!
