suspension

Postby paj » Thu Sep 15, 2005 11:43 pm

recently changed my van from a 1994 100l to 2000 100l and i find the 2000 van is alot lighter on the back end, i use the the van for work but even when its loaded it still feels lighter than the 94.drove trannys for years and this is the only one i have lost on a corner(.in the wet).keep tyre perssure at 50 both rear tyres have good tread and its just had years mot put on it so presume suspension is ok.was thinking of looking at upgrading rear suspension anyone any recommendations ?..................cheers

When you say 2000, is it the same shape as the 1994?

One thing that may be different that can atler the way the van feels is the tyres! ie the brand quality!! what tyres are you running on the back?

other than that a pair of new shocks could impove things on the back but a 2000 van shouldn't really need them yet!

Mabe have a look at the tracking that can alter the feel of the van!!!

could this be a load apportioning valve issue maybe ?? affecting the way the brakes are balanced front to rear maybe ?
