Carpet for the back

Postby Lee J » Wed Sep 21, 2005 4:00 pm

So, I'll be creating a ply partition, the extra rown of seats is in, I want to carpet the ply wall. I'm sure I've seen some grey ribbed carpet, quite thin so it can be moulded etc but I can't remember where I saw it. So,

1. What carpet would you use for the ply wall and up the inside of the sliding door etc?

2. What carpet would you use for the floor of the back (the bit with the extra seats in)

Where would I get these from and what would I stick them with?

Aren't I a pest. Bet your all glad I joined now! :D

HI MATE THERE IS A FIRM IN OLDHAM CALLED NOISEKILLER ACOUSTICS, THEY USED TO BE CALLED BJ ACOUSTICS. THEY SELL THE TYPE OF CARPET YOU WANT, THEY ALSO SELL HEADLINING MATERIAL , WHICH IS IDEAL FOR COVERING PLY BOARDS, THEY USED TO DO IT IN LIGHT AND DARK GREY. CARPET I THINK THEY DO IN BLACK AND GREY . THEY HAVE A WEBSITE NOT SURE OF THERE PHONE NUMBER THOUGH. HOPE THIS WILL HELP.

Exhibition carpet is another option, miles of it is usually chucked out after events (carpet, not tiles which are reused), if you are near an exhibition center, get chatting with security and ask if you can get some from the floor, the best bits are obviously in corners or edges but you can't tell where the carpet comes from once it's up.
