No power at all

Hi guys and girls I spent all day today trying to find why my mk6 has no power to the dash I'm now out of ideas everything else works horn lights hazards but no dash lights at all just the steady red light flashing it seems the ignition circuit is totally dead the van was running a couple of months ago all I did was charge the battery since then no power I've checked all the fuses and I have power right up to the big red wire into the fusebox under the Bonnet if i cant get it running then its going to the scrap which is a shame because it's never had any welding done even though it's 14 years old

Check all the earths, battery, chassis and starter....etc..

It lives it was the main ignition fuse the guy who had it before must have shorted something out
