Clutch/gearbox stuck 66reg 2.0L 129hp Diesel Euro6

Postby Alexko » Mon Oct 01, 2018 1:54 pm

Hi,

Anyone else had issues with the clutch or gearbox on them new Euro6 2.0L diesel engines?

Mine is a people carrier used for touring, only done 24k miles 90% on motorways touring Europe so mostly used in the 6th gear.
Fault description;
With the engine running and clutch pedal depressed I was unnable to engage any gears, turning off the engine allowed me to engage every gear,
the above leads me to believe that the clutch was not separating the gearbox from the engine.

Both happened within one week...whilst abroad. :oops:
First issue was fixed by Ford dealer in Romania(apparently they replaced the master cylinder seal) then drove another 500miles and the same happened again whilst near Budapest (Hungary).
Not sure what went wrong...bad work from the dealer..another faulty master cylinder being fitted?

I took a flight back to UK, car is being recovered by AA to Perrys in High Wycombe.

They just replaced the master cylinder, took the easier route.
Been told it is probably one of the pressure plate fingers being broke....
Hoep it will be back in UK next week.
