Ned, thanks for this hint. I'm presently having a heck of a time with diagnosing both my 2002 LDV convoy with Duratorq 2.4 powertrain and 2002 Ford Transit 2.4 powertrain too. I do have Forscan on my Laptop and Android Tab but none have been able to connect to the vehicles' ECUs. I have a modified ELM327 I bought off Jumia (an online store here in Nigeria) and a Bluetooth ELM327 I bought off same store. I'm at the end of my wit as to what next to do. I sometimes came across one Maxiecu sold by Scantooldirect, which they claim will work perfectly on pre-2004 diesel Ford Transits. However, no one in the forum has offered a definite answer ad to the efficacy of Maxiecu as a diag tool. Is there a way one can actually diagnose pre-2004 Transits without IDS... Please I'm dying for an answer. Thanksned wrote:Mk6 are funny on code readers, elm327, f-super and IDS work on them, most obd2 reader don't work as they are not obd2 complaint.
Is there fuel in the fuel filter?

The LDV Convoy starts at tick over but will not rev. I let it idle for over 20mins yet it refused to rev. I changed the fly-by-wire throttle pedal, yet no response. The Transit is a different story: its piston rings were due for replacement so I did replaced them. Engine refuses to start thereafter. I needed the van for some work on my friend's farm then so I had to install a DI Injector pump. It has been working ever since but its performance has reduce so noticeably. Hello my good man,
Some elms don't work have a read of the link in this thread, viewtopic.php?f=5&t=189846#p1621948
It tells of all the comparable readers for forscan, if you are knowledgeable with computers the f-super reader does connect with the pre 2003 vans but the formidable program isn't as good as for scan, is the Bluetooth on and visable on your laptop/tablet, I only ask as my WiFi elm wouldn't connect until it was pointed out I hadn't linked the 2 together
What issues are you having with both vans?
