My ford transit mk7 banging

Postby Bravo1948 » Tue Oct 16, 2018 9:55 pm

Hi, I am looking for some advice to resolve the clanging and knocking noise. I took my ford transit mk7 2007 plate van out today to fill it up with diesel. afterwards all of a sudden a clanging and banging noise is coming from the rear and underneath the van. I thought it was the exhaust as it is loose (wobbles side to side) but no i am not convinced that this is just the problem. can any one give me any information on what it possibly could be, thank you

If it’s RWD check the propshaft and diff and if FWD or RWD look at springs/shockers/body mountings for rot you also need give more info of your vans spec

Exhaust heat shield, I thought the body was coming off the amount of noise mine made - it was just cracked and loose about the front rivet.
