If you have a new t piece then it would be easier for you, I usually cut those crimped clamps across the top with a good pair of cutters/pliers, and the length of the pipes is not a problem, they are just to return excess fuel from the injectors, and it will not need to be primed after you have changed the pipes as it's not part of the fuel supply, just get the old ones off best you can and fit new ones and job done.
