Interior light - want to swap to LED

I've got a set of LED lights for the loan area of the connect. They are ten connected LED strips with three bulbs on each. I want to connect these to the standard wiring keeping the function where opening the door turns the light on. The original light has two wires and two festoon bulbs.

Does anybody know how to wire in the new lights? Might be a silly question and as simple as splice into the current ones and that's it but rather check first.

I have led down lighters in my van granted not strip ones but i just connected to the exiting wiring still have all the functionality.

I did this in my old connect. Sounds a bit rough but I ran the cables from the LED into the Festoon casing and just wrapped the cables around the connections. Quick and simple and gave me no problems in the 3 years of ownership.
